Welcome to Wamo Marketplace. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our platform, whether as a buyer or seller, and apply exclusively to services provided within the Arab Republic of Egypt. By registering or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding agreements under Egyptian law.
- Wamo currently operates only within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Account Registration
- Buyers and sellers must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity under your account.
- Wamo reserves the right to verify the information provided and request additional documentation at any time.
Use of the Marketplace
- Buyers may browse, search, and purchase products from approved sellers.
- Sellers may list products in accordance with Wamo's policies. They are fully responsible for the accuracy of product information, pricing, stock availability, order fulfillment, delivery, and after-sales service (if exist).
Seller Obligations
- Sellers must comply with all applicable Egyptian laws related to commerce, consumer protection, and taxation.
- Ensure all listed products are genuine, accurately described, and legally permitted for sale.
- Deliver products in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and honor return/refund policies.
- Wamo reserves the right to audit sellers, inspect their listings, or suspend their account for violations.
Prohibited Activities
- Listing or purchasing counterfeit, illegal, or restricted items.
- Using fake identities, impersonating others, or registering multiple fraudulent accounts.
- Attempting to interfere with platform security or operations.
- Violating any applicable Egyptian laws or Wamo policies.
Prohibited Products
- Counterfeit goods
- Stolen items
- Alcohol, tobacco, and controlled substances
- Weapons, explosives, and hazardous materials
- Any item banned by Egyptian law
- Violation may lead to immediate account suspension, legal action, and financial penalties.
Payments, Fees, and Taxes
- All transactions are processed in Egyptian Pounds (EGP).
- Wamo will transparently communicate applicable platform fees, commissions, and VAT charges.
- Sellers are responsible for issuing proper invoices and complying with Egyptian tax laws.
- Wamo reserves the right to adjust fees and commissions with prior notice.
Returns and Refunds
- Buyers may request returns in accordance with Wamo's return policy.
- Sellers must honor returns for defective, damaged, or misrepresented products.
- Disputes regarding returns should be handled promptly by the seller. Wamo may assist in dispute resolution but does not guarantee outcomes.
Dispute Resolution
- Buyers and sellers are expected to resolve issues directly and in good faith.
- Wamo may intervene as a neutral mediator but does not assume liability for transactions.
- Legal disputes shall be governed by Egyptian law and subject to the jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.
Termination and Suspension
- Wamo may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraud, abuse, or other harmful activities.
- Users may request account closure at any time, subject to settlement of pending obligations.
Limitation of Liability
- Wamo provides its services on an "as-is" basis and disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
- Wamo is not liable for product quality, delivery failures, or disputes between users.
Privacy and Data
- User data is collected and processed according to Wamo’s Privacy Policy.
- Wamo may audit seller information, transactions, and listings for compliance.
Changes to the Terms
- Wamo reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via the platform or registered email.
